http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/forum2.jpg

I activated the photo facility today in the forum - when you click reply there is now an icon above the reply box allowing you to insert an image - this must be in the form of a link inserted between the words 'img' '/img' (where the ' are square brackets open and close) so in my case above, I inserted: http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/forum1.jpg between the words. When next replying or starting a new topic, click on the 'Insert image' icon and you will see what I mean...it's difficult to explain in words!

Go easy on this facility though as if you link to loads and loads of images it will slow down the loading of each topic for plebs like me who have a dial up connection. So can I suggest that images are not used in your signature as if everyone does it a topic will be slow to load. Remember, you can still just post a standard link to an image which will open a new window such as: http://www.audi-a2.co.uk/sd1.jpg

I hope you will all continue to use the A2OC website as your reference site / picture linking site and still send your photos to me. If you want to find out the web address for any photos that are on the A2OC site, please let me know. If there is any abuse of this facility - such as pornographic images or other inappropriate/irrelevant images added to the forum then it will be deactivated immediately and everyone will lose out + the culprit will be barred for life from the forum. I trust that if there is any abuse such as this, someone will email me: stuart@audi-a2.co.uk

By the way, any images that I consider are too big or verge on the inappropriate will be removed from your post.

Jeff, in theory, if you want the forum to display your image you should be able to run the URL you are trying to load and see the image. But if you run http://www.geocities.com/wenskaarten/JEFF.jpg there is no image there...so that's your problem.

Looking good.:D

Have you any objection to having a little image in our signature, whether it be the A2 or something else to distinguish us?

No - good idea Rob, go for it (as long as it is small like in your example post above).

If any one wants me to create a small image of their A2 and hold it on the A2OC website, let me know and I'll send you the linking address for it.

It the Special Constabulary. Been doing it for about 8 years now. It let's you see a side of life you normally wouldn't and supports the understaffed police force.

Got to bed at 4am today after a 9pm start on Friday (and with a days work at my normal job) so pretty tired now but it's time well spent.

We have the rigid cuffs (no chain between the two cuffs). Allows for manipulation if the subject plays up (in others twist the buggers and it hurts and tends to bring the subject back round to what you want them to do and not mess about). We also have the side-handle baton, extendable. Also CS spray, wear-always body armour (must weigh over a couple of stone on it's own). And a big helmet.

So as I said, I'm not putting that lot on in a hurry!.
