OEM Sat Nav 2003 GB CD released

According to the TeleAtlas web site the 2003 version of the OEM Sat Nav CD has been released.

And joy of joys, it takes post codes and house numbers !

This should make setting up destinations a damn sight quicker.

Paul, I've ordered mine today as well.

Stuart, I'm sure its possible, but its probably even more expensive than specifying it new ! You could ask your local dealer to price it up ! Only difficulty might be in where they place the GPS antenna, might be tucked behind a panel ?

Well the CD has arrived (2 day delivery !) but my wife has gone out in the car so I can't play with it yet !

Mine received. The post code feature is only the first half of the code. Street numbers are in blocks, not by individual numbers. House or building names not included.

So, it's an update, but not what I had hoped. Also, we are still without the codes to activate the traffic functions.

Cathy was happy enough with getting the first part of the post code. This then prompts you to the town and street etc...

I guess its a problem with CD based systems not being able to store enough data.

Having used this for a few weeks now, I can't see how they can claim it to be a 2003 version. Major road improvements completed a year ago are still not in it, to such an extent that it gets totally confused and asks you to do U turns etc. Really not worth updating from the 2002 one.
