Hi there all -
Wiper Blades for A2 - looks like its a hot topic

Which is this best one - normal or flexy / floppy ones ?
And does this improve the noise and wiping use of the the blade action..
Your comments please
If floppy is best where is the best place to buy from - I see that there are some on Ebay - or does anybody know about any other suppliers in this country or in Europe - goods recomendations gratefully accepted .....

Thanks -

Mine has only ever been floppy and I have had no complaints with its performance :D

It wipes well and is not noisy in the way I have heard people complaining.

I believe VAG Parts is an excellent source and they do a discount for A2OC members but please read the threads on the front page as you do have register with VAG Parts before you contact them

It also depends on the wiper you have at the moment if you have the older wiper you will need to change the arm as well.

If you have the floppy newer wiper then as stated vagparts are a good surpplier ive just received a pair of heated mirror glasses from them very good company to deal with highly recommended

From what i can see that is the older wiper and arm the easiest way to tell is if the wiper blade is encased in metal.

The newer wiper does not have a metal case.

Hope this helps.

Yes, that is definitely the original style wiper arm and blade Artnix22 - an upgrade to the newer arm and blade will offer noticeable benefits, including cheaper blade prices and quieter operation with no 'rocking'.

Cheers,

Mike

I was in Halfords the other day, was passing their wiper blade section and decided to have a flick through the little laminate guide telling you which wiper fits your model of car - the A2 section was completely blank, they don't stock them at all!

On another note has anyone seen the iPhone/O2 advert which shows the user flicking through the Autotrader website on their iPhone? They click on Audi and are then given a list of models to choose from - guess what, no A2! Maybe the A2 doesn't exist. Perhaps we're all dreaming...

I changed the wiper on my 02 A2 to the new Aero type about 6 months and have been very impressed with the performance and reduction in wind noise.

I used the arm and wiper kit supplied by vag.com.
