Hi everyone,

I was wondering if any of you have fitted one of these to your A2? You can buy them on E-bay for about a tenner and they reckon it really boosts your MPG.

Is there a down side to these? From what i can gather they're just magnets fitted to the fuel line.

Sounds too good to be true

The Mythbusters put a fuel saver device to the test and it was complete rubbish.

tested on tv the other night, the lady got better consumption, then admitted she changed her driving style completely for the trial, that was more likely the reason:(

Title of this thread should be "Money waster" not "Fuel saver". Has been much discussed on on sites such as www.thesmartclub.com and shown to be useless.

Thanks guys - thought it sounded like a load of cack.

I'm happy with the 65mpg that my TDI does - was just trying to be greener (meaner) :D

I've just taken on the UK franchise for a German product especially deisned for VW and Audi vehicles - its called Wunderluft.

A one litre can retails at £17.99 (incl. Postage and Packing). It's basically a special mix of Nitrogen and Oxygen (78% / 21% by volume with about 1% argon). You simply open the can and pour the contents into the air intake at the front of the car when the engine is running.

It is guaranteed to improve you fuel consumption by 7.5%.

The prouct will be available from 1/4/08 so get in early if you want some.

As a chemist, I call this: Air.
