Hope this isn't a stupid question - but could this be used on my FSI Sport with 17"s? or is there a 17" space saver version?

Be aware that some of the VW spacesavers can also be used on the A2. I got mine for around £25 on eBay!:D

Hi Clubsport, my saver (1.4 petrol, 15") saver sits onto a plastic tray with indentations plugs that pick up the stud bolt holes (5 of) then it is secured to the lower floor by a central screw bar with large plastic turning handle, goes through centre hole of wheel onto threaded hole in this floor, which is a bracket that is fitted over the cars battery in base floor, sounds a little complicated but is really very simple and affective, hope this helps, regards ALAN.

Humps, many thanks for posting the link...perfectly clear now :)
Have to say, I am not sure if I can muster the enthusiasm to go out and get one though......more likely to run with a can of tyre weld gloop on short local runs and try to remember to take the physical spare on longer runs.

Can someone please clarify what size of space saver will fit an A2? I have 17" alloys fitted with 205/40/R17 at present.
Many thanks
