Horn location

Can anyone point me in the right direction of the horn on A2 tdi 2001.I have taken the engine cover off,but cannot find it.Any help would greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance,Regards, Ray

It's a bugger to get to, as it nestles deep under the offside (UK) headlamp and the only real way to get to it is to remove the bumper, which means both front wheels off, both arch liners out and then bumper off.

The location is verry bad for any loud sound. So that is why many have changed the horn to: "Bosch Minifanfahre"

Hi Erstens

Given what Skipton has said, do you have a quick release mechanism for your bumper? or have you found a way to remove it without the associated extra work.

I was going to fit a set of Corrado horns until I saw all this :eek:

As I know, you must remove the inner wheel arch on the front and then you can remove the bumper. But I would have to search for the description.

What Jonathan was meaning is ' have you found a way of removing the bumper without taking off the wheels and arch liners, and headlamps' they are all shown as fitted in the photos, so it looks like they were not removed.
