Hello,
I currently have the 16-inch alloys with 185/50/16 tyres. I recently bought a pair of these for the front axle of my A2. They cost me about £140 including postage for the pair. What I noticed more recently was that there are a few sets of new 17-inch alloys available on ebay with brand new 205/40/17 tyres. This tyre size appears to be in more plentiful supply than the 185/50/16 as well and I was thinking I may be as well to get a new set of alloys and tyres next time I need tyres because I notice that a lot of members have aftermarket wheels and from the gallery they really do look great and enhance the style of the car. The cost of new alloys and tyres is not a great deal more than 4 new tyres would cost and if I sold the old standard alloys and tyres I figure that I may even break-even. Has anyone else here got 17s on their A2?
