Hey guys, after numerous checks with my A2, it appears that the Inter cooler is split, as the turbo over boosts its cuts off resulting in a lag of power..:(
Iv asked around but no1 has the part, and was wondering if any1 in the forum may have a spare Inter cooler for sale for my Audi A2 1.4 TDI..
Thanks guys
What year is the car etc and engine

Give Stealth Racing a call think they can still obtain the original item if you can get your A2 there and labour is cheaper.

thanks for the info Shezlee - greatly appreciated
ok, i wasn't actually sure on how much this would cost, but it appears its going to cost £300+ all in.
Since i brought the car via Autotrader, it came with 30 day warranty, does any1 know if this would be covered. thanks

If you have any questions about the warranty, have a good read of it and if it's still unclear, give Consumer Direct a call on 08454 050607 - they should be able to give you some info if you're unhappy with the dealer.

thank you Rob:)
Hi you never came back with an engine type to see if a replacement can be obtained, never mind.
You could try cutting out the middle man and perhaps going direct to intercooler maker Pace Products in East Anglia. Customs made coolers could be cheaper than someone else going to Forge for you? Might not but its worth getting a price.

sorry emm...
Car is 51 Reg, 1.4 TDi, any further infor required?
thanks emm:)
Well according to the information a standard replacement appears to be about £189 inc vat. (based on the information supplied) Don't know how this compares to other prices you have had so far. On the link above http://www.a2oc.net/forum/showthread...ht=intercooler the standard replacement works out to £235 inc vat (although this would be the normal price for the retail customer). So its a few quid cheaper, but just depends if you want a nice shiney performance one? :D

It says 1.2 TDI do you think its right? Saying that they have the same part number for the 1.4 TDI, but if it fits its a good price

Had a new intercooler for the V70 last January by a local Volvo specialist. It cost just over £600 to buy and have fitted. Getting good fuel economy now and NO clouds of black smoke behind me at all anymore! The Audi price looks OK in comparison.

What a bargain. If i wasn't stuck in a state of permanent Mk1 Golf restoration i would have it to keep as a spare!!
