Does anyone know if any company makes a 'stick on' brushed aluminium ( or other bright trim ) insert for the central dash area of the A2.I find the dash a bit dull in appearance and wonder if there is such a thing to buy.My Audi dealer says that Audi don't make one.

Cheers ,Mike

Thanks for all replies...I have now ordered a kit over ebay(well I ordered two when I pressed the wrong button......doh!!!)from a German firm who have been very efficient. They sell them in brushed aluminium, chrome, false wood and colours. If it turns out to be good quality and easy to fit I will name them on here.If I don't name them you know it ended up in the bin

Search Ebay, Im sure there is a company which is advertising doing all different types of kit.

Your dealer is right (for once - oops, did that come out loud!!??) - Audi wouldn't do a stick on trim piece, go and wash your mouth out!

Seriously, there are many dash trims for sale on Ebay. Most of them are kits and tend to be mimicking real wood veneers, but there may be an aluminium version.

Sorry to offend anyone by suggesting that an Audi should have stick on things. The trouble is since my wife dragged me away from my 'Old Man Volvo'
(her words not mine) and into the world of A2 I have come over all boy racerish, which is not very dignified for a man of advancing years.I still want a stick on dash though!!!!!

Mike, you've offended no-one - my comments were meant to be taken with a cheek full of tongue!

Fit whatever you want to fit, as long as it's not a "Mike - Shirley" shadeband (Carl?).

Cheers,

Mike

real wood FTW!

no, I haven't done it.... yet. And if I do, it will of course be birch. Just oiled.

You can try stick on vinyl sheet, I used this in my old car. Takes a few attempts to get it right though to make sure no creases, and you need to remove the trim to do a good job.
