nox sensor

can any one help me to locate nox sensor for 1.6 fsi got the new part but can not find it would be very useful if some one could send me a picture

It actually screws into the exhaust system behind the cat and the cable then passes into the passenger footwell compartment.

In terms of position on the exhaust system, its about level with the front seats. Wiring goes in through passenger footwell.

thanks for your post but the part i got is not like you decribed it is round with a hole in the middle and a plug on the side wear the wires plug in.the bloke says it the right part but my mechanic can not find it.have got the right part part no 030905377c

part number is DEFINATELY: Nox Sensor, part number P A8Z0 906 261

The part you've been supplied with is an anti-knock sensor, used to 'hear' pre-ignition and so correct the timing.

It is on the same page as the lambda sensor and is right next door on the listing in the dealers catalogue, so my bet is that the parts man has mistakenly entered the neighbouring number, resulting in you getting the wrong part.
