Recently had some new tyres fitted to our A2. While I was waiting the tyre fitter called me through to the fitting bay and showed me how buckled both my front wheels are (Roads in Sheffield are terrible). So I have decided to replace the lot only thing is I'm not sure what style to go for.
Sticking with 7"x17" Narrowed down the choices to 6 style pictured below.
Your Opinion is Appreciated!! :)

Set 1 and 6 are the best suited in my opinion.

Its all personal taste really, but I like 3 and 5. The 3rd set keep the car looking original, but my favourite of your pics is the R8 style in Pic 5. Will they not be pricey though? have fun making your decision! :)
I know what you mean about the roads in Sheffield - I'm still on the 15inch standard wheels and feel like i'm going to do myself an injury driving through town.
in my opinion 1 and 6 really look good on the car.

Please do a forum-search for "Koni FSD" dampers :)
In addition switch to 195/55R15 tyres on 6x15 or 6.5x15 rims.
That's all you need for proper ride comfort !

LM's or Cup 3's look best IMO!

the B5 RS4-like (original) wheels suits it best IMHO. But the B6 RS4s and R8 are mean! I like them too. If you're thinking of RS4/R8 wheel's price range, what about TE37s, they do it in 17 x 7.5 which should fit. Or the Ultraleggera ;-) ?

Set six gets my vote overall!! :D
Set one looks quite euro, but it would no doubt be an ordeal in itself to clean them?!

Yes all but the porsche wheels but adaptors I believe are available (well they were for my MK3 Golf) Hope this helps.
Been speaking with the missus and looks like the R8's or the RS4's are the final 2. Just got to find a supplier who sell a good quality replica. Any Idea's

More I think about it set 4 work best... used to have them on my Corrado and they look perfect on the A2 IMO
You would need adaptors but thats not too much of a problem so long as you go for hubcentric ones

Totally agree with Carl - your Corrado looks magnificent Phil - a timeless classic and a reminder what fun coupes once where.

Thanks for the kind comments about the Corrado! It was a 2.0 16V which was completely re-built over the years I had it with a new bottom end... spent far too much money getting it to the state you see in the pic but loved every minute of it! Sadly sold it last year after getting my Leon Cupra R and it was taken up to scotland.. what happened after that or where it is now is anyones guess as it's dropped off the radar all together now
Anyways, sorry to have gone off topic slightly - I do think those rims would look fantastic on an A2 though ;)

What was the result of this thread, did you buy any? Set 6 (RS4?) are my favourites, but any form of Porsche cup alloy would be cool too!

ME too i have always liked the look of a 5 spoke wheel, but at work we have started getting more and more cars coming in with these type wheel on and they are starting to grow on me, have seen some on ebay too. Wish list for next year i think

None of the above. I bought a set of 17" RS6 Replica's. Really Happy with them. Replica RS4 centre caps looked very cheap and my genuine ones would not fit and as the reason for swapping my wheels was because my genuine RS4's Buckled badly thought it best not to buy the same design again.

Nice wheels mate. I have the 18's as standard on my A3 and very happy with them.
