My daughter is considering a new head unit for her Micra, CD-radio and probably MP3 capable. Anyone any experience of the various makes, which are the reasonable ones - budget probably 150-200?

She does not want to go for a changer as the present head unit will not control one and she does not want a separate control.

You are spolit for choice amongst Kenwood, Alpine and Sony,, the best thing to do is either find one that you like the look of, that is within your own budget,, then ask again about that or those models,, or log onto www.talkaudio.co.uk and ask the same question,, loads of helpful people on that forum with loads of experience of different car audio stuff.

At the end of the day they all offer pretty much the same options so you end up choicing one that pleases your eye.

Hi,
I have a Kenwood MP6090R, I am sure now superceeded, which is an MP3/CD radio. This also has the neat D mask, the front panel can swivel round and leave a blank face to confuse/deter would be robbers. I am happy with it and having MP3 means that a CD can hold about 8 CD's worth of music.
