I'll swap with you. I prefer the smooth grille. Picking my car up in Manchester on Saturday (2004 Tdi 90 with new style grille), is there much work involved in swapping them over? I assume that yours is in good condition etc? PM me and we can arrange something when I'm down (220 miles form home as you pointed out LOL) :)

Search the forum. I already described it, that one version has two screws coming from th efron and the other version has two thicker or thinnner screws coming from the rear/back side! So you need to drill the holes or use other screws , so simple! But I use it without any screw. It works.

Sorry I missed you at Mike's place Alam - thanks to Flybe for my 4 hour delay.( never again!)
The smooth grille is fab and I hope you are happy with your new slatted one. Theres pics on my profile gallery of our new A2 (or 'Ada' as the wife has christened the car) sporting your former grille.
Thanks again for the swap, and thanks to Skipton for the coffee and expertise!:)

No problem Murdo, My trip to Mike's place was a utter headache too (Thanks for the paracetamol Mike)
lost my way with the dam Tomtom. Guessing your trip back to Glasgow was pleasant in your new A2:)
Hope you the best of luck with the new A2 (Ada), Mine has not been christened yet
but i think the name should stay as A2. lol
