5 STUD X 100PCD WHEEL with

185/65/14" TYRE

does this sound like it would fit the a2? i desperately need a wheel and tyre for use as a spare. Doesn't need to be spacesaver.

cheers,

I have 16"s. I'm going on a long journey to Heathrow and having suffered a blowout on my last trip to the lake district I don't want the same hassle again. The gel repair kit is not much use when the tyre is shredded to pieces like mine was lol. Yes I see a lot off A2s around the area but my work takes me away most of the time so I'm hardly there. But if you see a dolphin grey SE 51 plate it might well be mine! :D

Hi Martin
As you already know, the bolt pattern and overall tyre dia of the 14" wheel are the same as the A2 - so the only things to check are the rim offset (which is (ET) 35mm on the A2 but + or - 5mm should be ok) and clearance for the front brake calipers. If you can't try the 14" wheel, use something like a small block of wood about 30mm thick and make sure this will go between the caliper and inner rim of your 16" wheels to check this.

Hi
Need some help please. My car came fitted with 9 spoke 'RS' alloys. One alloy has recently been damaged by a pot hole, so need a replacement. However, after many phone calls to Audi dealers & companies selling alloys, I have received conflicting information on how to check the rim width. The tyre fitted is 205 /40 / 17". My guess is 8" ,but there is no info on the inside of the wheel to confirm this, so can anyone help please or better still does anyone have a spare for sale ?
Thanks
Nick

Check the inside (back) of the spokes there should be the size on the wheel somewhere

Hi Nick
Assuming they are genuine Audi wheels the part number (8LO 601 025 AC (or T) should be somewhere on the back. For info the rims are 7 x 17 x ET38

It sounds like you have a Sport model, fitted with the standard 9 spoke 17" wheels (similar to the RS4 wheels).

If so and they are the original Audi wheels, they will be 7" wide, not 7.5" or 8".

I am truly surprised that Audi dealers didn't know this, as they were also used on the old A3.

The full specs are: 7J x 17H2 ET38 5/100 part number: 8L0 601 025AC 1H7 Price: £379.65

Cheers,

Mike
