I was looking for a way to upgrade to MP3 in my A2 and found this on t'bay...

Hi mate, I was too was looking at this at one time, BUT after considering the fact of adding VAT and CUSTOMS charges, which I have been hit with 3 times ordering from China, (upto 8 months later) EVEN if they label it as a 'sample' or 'gift', or even 'value' it very low on the customs declaration forms, I decided to avoid oversea's purchase this time.

On top of all this they usually turn out to be very cheap in quality.

Be careful that's all I can say.

That makes sense... There is the same item for about 15 quid more from the uk... (guess someone has bulk bought) which may save some of the hassles....

Was wondering if there were any other alternatives....

My friend bought original iPod link from a local Audi dealer for his A3 Bose sound system. Downside is that you can only connect iPod, memory cards or USB sticks can't go as an option, but I can say that the original link works fine.
You need to play a bit to find equalized sound that you like and you don't get title on radio screen, otherwise useful.

Currently have the Audi ipod link. Next purchase is Koni FSDs and maybe a visit over to Mike for cruise control too. After that it's gonna be one of these:
