hi all can anyone suggest a good lubricant for the door hinges? as i am getting worried that if they get dry of lube this will lead to stress cracks in the hinge area. i have tried several searches but no help. i have thought about mc,chain lube as its very free running but dry's up and not unsightly.whats the best to use?

I wouldn't use chain lube, just plain old molybendum grease will be sufficient. As you open and close the door, it'll work its way in.

WOW fast responce! thanks for that, ill use that then. i was just concerned that there was insuficient gap for the grease to "work into" the hinge.
many thanks mike -- one very happy a2 owner

You're very welcome. If you want to ensure penetration, you could always use a dry chain lube, which won;t attract dirt and turn into a grinding paste!
Cheers,
Mike
