View Full Version : Extra silvery bits for sale

thomas

Finally you can see the photos of my A2 with all the extra silvery bits under European owwners; section16.[8D]
If anyone is interested in acquiring the silver chrome mirror casings I can organise it. In order for it to be worthwhile though I would need to ba able to order about 10 pairs.
Then I can also get them at a discount price of 110 Euro ( a pair).
The price includes: 30 euro for the blank mirror casing; and 80 euro for the silver finishing.
It is a professional finish and of the best quality.

I can also organise the silver door handles ( stick on ) ; the silver tank cap ( screwed on ) and the gear knob ( which is from metal and heavy).
I don't make any profits on the items so I will ask you to pay post and parcel. In case I get any extra discounts for ordering in bulk I would pass them on to the A2 club for Stuart.[^]

Lower front grill surround. Is there one?

I don't like the looks of the doorhandles and fuelcap, look a bit OTT for conservative old me, but a surround would be nice.

Hi

those who want to order any of the silver extras please send me a message to arrange the further details.

We already have 2 orders but if we could get around 10 we can perhaps get a better price.
I know I found a german supplier of the lower front grill before....I just can't remember who it was at the moment ...but I'll keep looking.

The silver parts on the dashboard were a big disappointment. There are just stick on parts but they don't stick properly... we would advise against.

That depends on the quality and seeing a decent picture (up close) of one fitted. My front grill stips for the upper grill are costing me £80, so I would guess that this will be higher. Maybe £100-150 tops?

Hi

I tjought you were talking about the silver strips . Now that I've seen the pictures for the lower front grill I'm at a loss. I asked my dealer but he doesn't know anything about them either. Are they mande especially for the grill or are they just set on there ?Is is maybe just the normal front part around the Audi rings that is simply set around the grill ?
I can get silver frames for around the number plates.
Thosa of you interested in the other silver parts that I mentioned please contact me per mail so that I can start setting up the order.
Have nice Weekend

Thomas,
I believe people should be aware that mirrors are different depending on which side of the car the steering wheel is! [?]

Mine is a left drive, and the right mirror is more bended back than the left one!

The ones that you can get are for left or right drive?

Cheers,

You can now buy stick on orange led lights for your door mirrors. They are on a flexible strip so they mould to the shape of your mirror.

There was an advert for them in this weeks Autoexpress.

Only two wires (earth and indicator I presume). You would have to thread through mirror, then door into dash.

Thomas,

There is a difference.
The actual size is the same... but the one opposite to the driver is bended back... 4 cm more, I presume!

Go to your car... imagine a straight line from the tip of the mirror to the door glass, ok?
Now measure the distance from the point of intersection to the base of the mirror. You will notice there is a 4 cm difference.

Cheers,
A2day

The part around the service flap is the right size :D. I will find out a price from VAG Parts and if reasonable will spend a few days to see if I can make it fit the existing lower grill.[:p]

I think that adding lights to your mirrors (unless the are completely flush fitting like the ones on Mercs or the new Honda Accord which uses a strip of leds built into the mirror) is going one step too far with accessorising an A2! But that's just my opinion [:I]

A2 had as standard silver parts on the front grill etc. so you can see the contrast there already.
