My car came with 3 Dunlop SP 9000s fitted, plus one Pirelli which I've found is probably off another car and has a number of flat spots on the outside of its tread area.

In North Lincs where I live the cheapest I can get a Dunlop SP 9000 for is £116, inclusive of balancing, valve etc.

How does that compare with prices in your area for the Dunlop SP 9000?

Seems a crazy price to me as my son, who lives in Henley, has just bought a pair of Conti Premium Contact 2s for his MK4 Golf 130 tdi for around £73 a pop inclusive.

Try http://www.mytyres.co.uk/ and http://www.blackcircles.com/

I've used and can recommend both.

A Kumho tyre for the A2 is normally between £40 and £50 if you would like to save a bit more money. I have them fitted and find them a good ride. Ask for them by name at your tyre depot.

Alan

I too live in North Lincs, last time I needed tyres I got them for £88 Dunlop SP9000 ZR.
The size was/is 205 x 45 x 16, as the stock 185's were very difficult to get.
I finally got mine in National Tyres Sheffield, it was OK, but they are sh*te at balancing!
