Rachel, is it the power steering fault that has made up your mind to sell?

If so, I think I now know the cure and will do it for free if you care to pop over the hill to Mossley.

Thanks Ben - I seem to remember that I had a few votes for Audi Personality of the Year at the 2007 awards - kind but misplaced!:eek:

Seriously though, I am pretty certain that the random but frequent power steering failures are down to a bad earth in the nearside headlamp wiring loom. I put a new, secondary earth on Tank last week, hoping to solve the climate fault.

Whilst the climate fault is still there (dodgy compressor - now sourced a re-manufactured one from Denmark with a 2 year warranty), the earth DID cure the faulty ambient temperature sender, the climate high pressure sender and the power steering fault, all 3 of which are clear 1 week on.

It's not a massive job Rachel - probably half an hour, but it's worth a try. I know just how annoying these seemingly random but persistent faults can be (just ask my other half who puts up with the swearing!!). Other than a 20 mile journey over the Pennines, there's nothing to be lost.
