A2 TDi SE for sale.... reluctantly

Hi, been watching the A2OC for a number of years, but only just joined. Unfortunatley, I have to sell my pride and joy. I ordered my A2 TDi in July 2000, and finally took delivery in March 2001. I had a company car arrive last Friday & am now in a dilema. Do I keep the car stored in the garage (it is a future classic I'm sure) or do I sell it? The sensible part of me is saying sell it, so it is on Autotrader & Pistonheads http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/599504.htm
But I am somewhat reluctant. If you know someone who will appreciate and care for my A2, please pass this on.
I ordered every option that was available at launch, the only things that were not available were the open sky, leather & DIS. I am in Swindon.

Nice car. Will be a good buy for someone, I'm very impressed with the attention to detail with your service history. All the invoices and old tax discs. Clearly a cherished one owner car! Good luck with the sale Jonesy :)

Thanks for the good words. Really reluctant to sell, but I know it makes financial sense to let her go. Will definately buy another in years to come (hopefully get my own car back, if someone looks after her well enough!).

I have reduced the price of my A2 for 1 week. I am off work this week so people can come to see the car anytime, any day. Price is now £4,799. I had 3 people ring up to come & see the car during the last week, but I had to try to put them off until this weekend as I was away on holiday!! By this weekend they had all bought others, so I thought it will be worthwhile to take a week of so that I am free for viewings. I go away with work for a week at the end of August, so things are conspiring against me. New advert link here:

My A2 has been sold today & is now in the hands of a couple from Bristol. They were aware of the A2 owners club, so maybe they will become members! I think it has gone to a good home and I hope it gives them as good service as it has me.
We are now a 2 car family again, Audi A3 2.0 TDi (the wifes) & Honda Civic 2.2 iCTDi (mine) and will miss the A2 (a better car than the 2 we have now, but they are both company cars).
I'll still keep an eye on the site, as in future I hope to get another A2 back, and I want to keep up with this very active & well run site.
