Although pretty new to A2 ownership, I think I'm right in saying that its only the 1.2Tdi that is available in an Auto. This wasnt sold in the UK so if your heart is set on one, you will have to import a Left Hand Drive from Europe. If you search for '1.2 Tdi'you should find a link to the Euro equivelant of our Auto Trader etc. Good Luck!!!

The A2 was never available as an automatic, despite it being an obvious recepient for this gearbox and the 1.4 16v, in other cars using this engine, was available as an auto.

The 1.2TDI left-hooker is a semi-auto with an automated clutch although it is still a manual 'box. There are only three/four in the UK so you would need to import one from the continent.

... and they are now silly expensive. A2s are seriously in demand, especially in Germany.

from Mobile.de, right now: March 04, 71000km, (42k miles or so), reasonable equipment, is around €15-€16k. That's around £12k.
