Hi
I recultantly have to sell my A2 1.4 TDI (silver) due to new addition to family. The car has 71500 has had the cam belt and water pump etc.. done recently. Very clean interior and only really fault is front alloys have been flaking so could do with some TLC
As I have my new car (boring family car) coming soon I need a quick sale so am putting on for £4000 as I have taken into account the alloys etc..
Anyone interested give me a shout
cheers chris

Sounds like a bargain! Repairing the wheels is no big deal. I am getting all 4 17" rims on ours refurbished on Tuesday and its only £180 including VAT. Thats them rebalanced too, so I will no longer develop cold sweats when the wife approaches kerbs! LOL :D
Theres a couple of people looking for a TDi on the forum so you may be selling at an opportune time. I hope you secure a quick sale to a fellow member. Shame you have to sell though ;)

Im gutted i need to let it go its been a joy to drive and soooooo cheap to run. I 've spent quite a bit on it recently getting the cam belt etc done as i had no intention of selling it but new addiion to the family has changed that. Ive been shopping around for a bigger car which is as economical and classy but didnt find anything to compare.
Im sure the new car will be ok and do the job but not half as much fun to own !
cheers
p.s the forum has been superb i'll miss the guys on here

Thats not a trek its an adventure!!!:D
Bournemouth to Prestwick Airport will set you back £25 inclusive midweek, one way car hire to Aberdeen(Dyce) Airport is about £36. (then its 70 miles or so from Dyce to Blairgowrie) And your fuel all in would be about £80?? Thats still a bargain if you can spare a day and half out your life. No affiliation to Chris, I just dont see distance as being a barrier if the car meets your needs. ;)

It's a seller's market at the moment for small, very fuel and tax efficient cars like A2s that's for certain - lots of people are looking to downsize in the current climate of car tax hikes and the petrol price shock. You'll get lots of buyers, you certainly should be able to hold your price.
If you're after a big-engined luxury gas guzzler/ smart executive family estate it's a buyer's market for sure, there are some crazy bargains out there for big engined/ high CO2 cars now.

Hi all
Think I have a buyer already, actually ive had one since the day after it went onto Autotrader. Just waiting for his finance to get sorted then will do the reluctant sale.
If he doesnt manage to get his money will let everyone know in case there are any other interested parties.

It may well be a buyers market, but anyone whose had their car up for sale over a certain period and had alot of interest should surely be looking at the price they have their car on at if it hasn't shifted.
It appears people have the pre-conception that becuase there car does 60mpg and costs £35 road tax a year they can ask a premium for their A2.
In my quest so far i have seen some really nice A2's, and some serious dogs for cars but the sellers are asking stupid money for regardless of what state they are in.
I'm not saying i won't pay over book price for one but i won't pay 20% over book price like some are asking for.
In this instance i won't be following up my initial interest as my A2 will have to have aircon be it climate or just plain old air con.

There is only digital climate as far as i'm aware. if the car has dials its a standard heater/vent system although some (mainly dealers) advertise this wrongly as air con. You are quite right about pricing, there are some good cars at silly money that have been around since April when I started looking for one  Theres a TDI on an 05 plate thats been around since then and its only just been reduced from 10.5k to 10k - still too much. A private sale is usually the way to go, although I managed to get ours below book price from an independant car trader.
Good luck with your search, but you will be lucky to source a nice TDI with lowish miles for sub £4.5k

well can only speak from experience and say i could have sold this car a few times over and its only been on less than a week. As it is i have a buyer who has paid his deposit so looks like my A2 is rel****antly going.
I think the more fuel increases and the government increases Road Tax cars like these are going to be increasingly popular that fact its an Audi and only low insurance group just shows what a fantastic little car the A2 is why audi ceased making them is beyond me !
Good luck with your search and hope you find one with low mileage for a good price
