Anyone looking for a red a2, looking to sell my one for new car

AUDI A2 TDI SE Red

Service
Cambelt was replaced 20,000 miles ago.
Front brake discs/pads was replaced May 2007.
Doors have had the new front hinges by Audi.
Air-con was serviced and re-gassed Sept 2007.

Defects
Car requires new anti-roll bar, it is not causing any problems but cost is around £100 for a new one. It is due to the rubber bushes breaking and causing the bar to rattle (design defect of using plastic bushes).

There is a scratch, not very noticeable on the rear plastic bumper (see image no. 6)

The driver-side black buttons for the electric windows are rubbing off. Cost around £10 to replace. (see image no. 8)

The air-con panel has a couple of buttons loosing paint, you can colour them in or replace the unit, they sometimes are on ebay, its not that important, a little colouring will make it less harder to spot. I never got around to colouring it in. (see image no. 5)

Hi Richard

Sorry to see that eBay was not successful for you and hope that you get/have got the shine black thing.

Re: the anti-roll bar - I discovered a knocking shortly after acquiring my TDI (knew what it was as I had only recently replaced my wife's bushes/struts on her Yaris) and purchased new bushes and collars. Fitted one with no problem but had trouble with the other (pretty cramped under the ramps and there was no way the collar was going to fit). Then realised that one of the plastic collars had moved so I was not fitting the bush around it, just onto the bar. Just moved the plastic collar and fitted the new bush and collar directly to the bar. Mentioned this to my VAG stealer and he said there was a fault with the old anti-roll bar. I asked why this was not recalled and replaced and he suddenly became very vague and avoided the question. Is there a real problem with this? And if so should Audi not replace them free of charge?

Neil

I think audi should have replaced them for everyone as it was a design fault, but its not that much of an expensive fix.

Lowered the price of the car to £4500 if any one is interested.

Is any one willing to make me an offer on the vehicle, I can be a little
negotiable on price depending on the interest of the buyer ...

Call: 07980 365 034 or email: richard_5421@hotmail.com

Happy to have any visitors come and look at the vehicle and test drive.

Well done Richard - my friend was adamant she wouldn't have another red car (currently on her 3rd!) so gave yours a miss.

Do I take it you are buying the black one then and its first official outing will be at the camping social?
