The engineering shop I use for wheel refurbing has offered trade price to A2OC members.
The price for 4 wheels up to 17" diameter would be £140 + VAT. This includes new valves and balancing.

This will be too far out the way for the majority of members, but fellow Scots may be interested. I have had a few sets done over the years and the work is first class - wheels can also be straightened out for anyone who experiences the dreaded wheel buckling! I'll post a couple of pics on this thread tomorrow when I pick it up. Have opted for a pearl fleck effect for 'Ada's' rims, so looking forward to the results :)

Not sure of the range of work they undertake, but I'll ask tomorrow and post a list of available finishes. :)

cool, thanks; i have two non-round wheels; they're pretty well polished on the outside already, but a completing of the job and sorting the problems at the same time for that kind of price would be rather attractive.

Having had a chat with the owner (very decent bloke), the following is a list of finishes they can provide. Sorry Bret they only do powder coatings and straightening of buckled wheels.
All finishes can be gloss or metallic. (other than black or white of course which is gloss only)

Silver
Anthracite
Black
White
Gold
Special colours to order for rocker covers etc..

Wheel buckling: (They need to see the wheels to tell you if a repair is feasible and this costs between £20 and £30 a wheel depending on how serious the damage is)

If you are lucky enough to have a second set of rims you can also courier wheels to them for repair, with a turn around time of about 4 working days.
