My number plates were getting scruffy so I replaced them at www.no1showplates.co.uk for less than £20 incl. P&P. I will let you know what their quality is like after they have been on the car for six months.

Anyhoo, whilst getting the plates made up, I had the chance to have a script added at the bottom. Check out the plates here:

As part of the tidying up exercise I also removed the dealer add-on strips from the old number plates. They were from a dealership known as "Martins Audi". If there is anyone here called, er, Martin and would like to add one strip to their plates (I managed to break the other one) - it is yours for a fiver. Check it out here:

Whether you want UK road legal plates or German style (complete with the region plaquettes) plates, I can thoroughly recommend Dubmeister who have supplied several sets of plates for Tank.

Most importantly, their plates will never suffer from the ingress of water or dirt in between the acrylic front and the reflective backing, because they supply pressed aluminium plates - what could be a better match for an aluminium car than an aluminium plate??!!

See www.dubmeister.co.uk for prices and full details.

Cheers,

Mike

Mike - ah....dubmeister....I had searched for dougmeister...duh

One other point I didn't mention above for anyone looking to change their plates - the front plate uses the usual self-tapping screws but the rear plate has two OEM bolts which go into the boot lid (just so you know).
