Hi All. Im currently running the standard SE 2002 alloys wearing 185/50/16. I need to replace all 4 tyres very soon, wondering what other sizes can the standard SE 6 spoke alloys take? My thinking is I might be able to get the tyres cheaper if I go for a different size. Comments appreciated.

This is well documented and the concensus is that 195 section tyres give slightly better rides and also significantly cheaper prices, as well as more choice.
So, get some 195/50 R 16 tyres and let us know how you get on.
Cheers,
Mike
PS Don't totally scrimp on tyres, as they;re the only thing in contact with the road.

Does anyone have any preferences on tyres as well.
My shiny new one i picked up on Saturday has Kumho on the front, a Pirelli 6000 on the drivers side rear and a Michelin Primacy (Needs replacing) on the passenger side rear.
I've had a ring round and i can get a Kumho fitted for about £56 quid but there then appears to be a considerable jump to £90 for the Pirelli, and more for a Dunlop.
Also I see Bridgstone and Michelin no longer make 185/50/R/16's.

Don't rule out the lesser names: Kumho, Nexen, Wanli, Nankang and Yokohama - they are all very decent tyres and far cheaper than the big brands.
I am running Nexen all round on my A2 and am very happy at £60 per corner (and that's for 215/40 R 17 tyres).
Cheers,
Mike

Ive decided to go with the Khumo, quoted only £46 + vat all in. Noticed the front nearside had some uneven wear so going to have the tracking adjusted while im there. Im sure Ill be more than happy with my choice.:)
