Speed Camera Detectors.. Interested..
SPEEDING,, okay we know its naughty but it happens. Often someone gets talking about Radar Detectors, well has anyone checked out the new Morpheous Road Pilot GPS. Well this unit is awesome and it WORKS. And it is all software driven from a touch sensitive screen and is updateable via the internet through an USB connection to its removable screen,, which it is about 120mm by 80mm in size.
Checkout their web @ http://www.morpheous.com/roadpilot/roadpilot.asp
From time to time I get offered things that might or might not be of direct interest to me but I feel that others might like them.
I won’t try and hard sell this unit here but if, overall from where ever, I could get at least 5 people or more interested in this bit of kit, then I could get a healthy 25% discount off the list price of £495. 10 or more people would get an even better 35% off.
One of the good things about this kit is your ability to totally control what it tells you,, eg, if the road you are on is 50mph road and you are doing 49mph, it shows the camera on your side of the road and where it is in relationship to your car only and it stays silent, but if you are doing 51mph it gently tells you to slow down and you can pre-program it to give you a warning about camera positions from a few meters away to upto 2 miles away.
It can also be linked up to a BEL radar system and this too is control through that touch sensitive screen
There is also talk of, in the future, linking this kit up with possible Sat Nav and various bits of car alarms that work through the GMS and GPS system via texts on your mobile..
If you are in the market for a sophisticated bit of speed detection that also includes present and will also include any future Congestion Charging Cameras, and you are willing to invest to protect yourself with a constantly upgradeable [free in the first 12 months] unit, then drop me an email-me@efmax.info and lets talk..
The company that sell these are keen to be linked with other people who already have some respect in the car audio/entertainment industry.
I got taken for a real life test drive and I have always had a RD in my car but this thing just blew my old £400 unit away and that isn't just me getting over excited as my town is littered with cameras all other the place and about 40 of the darn things get put up each week across the UK.
What really sold me was the fact that you can control EVERY aspect of it so that it doesn't false alarm,, lets say you got busted doing 34 in a 30 at 12:01 pm on 01 Apr 2003. with this unit, it can record each trip you make and in theory can recal your place/mileage/speed/date/time etc and if it says you were doing 31 in a 30 then that is good enough for me to take to court as it uses GPS to show your REAL speed throughout your every journey.
The unit is the BIZ and the website doesn't do it justice,, seeing it in real life, it is dinky and slim and with it's all brushed ally case that slips into your top pocket like a skinny wallet.. sexy..
If nothing else give me some feedback below,, cheers
