Reading my CAR magazine I spotted that VW do a 100bph 1,4 TDi Polo Sport... no my thinking was that they just change the chip... EF MAX's new chip gives him 106bhp if memory serves... so can Martyn from VAG parts get us this Polo chip for less maybe? And then it will be a VW tested chip (re MOT, emissions etc)...
Anyone think this can work / will be cheaper than the ones described before?

I think I would be happier to have a CHIP mapped to the car to get 100+ BHP and not just a replacement?

I agree... but if VW has already done one with all the tests that involves surely it is better for the engine than a chip from a tuning company that have not had hot weather, cold weather, or in fact any testing?

I would assume that VW will not just sell the chip, but the whole ECU package. That will be big money!

Hmmm... I just checked CAR magazine that had a 1,4 TDI 100bhp listed under the 3 door Polo and then a 100bhp 1,9 TDI under the 5 door... I thought it weird! Just checked another mag and you're right. There is no 100bhp Polo 1,4!!! Martyn must be searching himself sick to find it in his list of parts! Thanks RTV.
