Ive had one hell of a bad xmas .....

Ive had some mother of all virus flu thing since Christmas Eve
was wondering if anyone else had it .....Still on Antibiotics .....

My question is has anyone had a Flu jab here, how effective are they
also how much do they cost and where can u get them done ,My Doctor
said they only give them to older people but was just wondering if this
is the case As i would'nt want a repeat performance next year ......

Hope u had all had a good one will be back to full strength soon .....
cheers Carl

you got antibiotics, you have to die round here to get them, I have had it too, still suffering, just taking it easy now. We were all told to take pain killers fluids and plenty of bed rest!

I'm sure some one medical will give better advice but the flu-jab is a tad overrated.

The problem is that it's designed to fight existing strains at the time of design and production; flu strains change and manipulate so you are never really fully protected. This winter does seem to have been especially difficult for flu sufferers, my boss is a similar age to you wooly and he's been awful since the week before crimbo although it is now clearing.

I'm lucky enough to have never had few (like many people who say they have but it's just a heavy cold...), but not doubt it'll hit me one day!
