That is indeed good news and may be helpful to members.
However, I'd urge people to hold off for a little while, as we are currently finalizing discussions with another Audi dealership, who are offering a better price on most things (significantly better in some cases and with no joining fee), so unless you are desperate for a part, keep your powder dry a little longer.
Cheers

Hi Mike,
i know you about the other dealership, but not too helpful you trying to shoot us down with messages like this.
we are all trying to provide the best service to members and many of the prices i offer to members are done on a one-to-one basis.
i think so far we have provided a valuable service and the above comment is on the verge of you not showing you appriciation towards ourselves.
most of the replies i post are out of offices hours, such as evening and weekends, as such is my/our dedication to a2oc members
sometimes it is not just about price, but also the service that is provided

David, I know that most of your replies are in your own time and that you are providing a service that may be of use to members.
However, your prices are not the most competitive and whilst it is nice to see a franchised dealer taking an active interest in the A2, I am somewhat dismayed that you have advertised a members club, complete with membership fee, without asking any of the A2OC administrators!
I know that Ben mailed you over a week ago with the news of an alternative parts supply avenue, but you have yet to reply.
The A2OC exists solely to provide a free resource to members and we have never charged a membership fee. I am passionate about getting the best for owners and that includes price, as well as service. Your time and effort is appreciated in what you have done so far, but I am a little worried by the membership fee you are charging, especially when you are not providing the most competitive prices.
At the end of the day, Stoke Audi is a business which exists to make money. Whilst it is admirable that you are not trying to extract as much money for parts as a lot of dealers, at the risk of repeating myself, you are certainly not as cheap as you can be (I have the retail prices, discount codes and up to datediscount matrix, so I know what the markup is on the parts you have publicly quoted on and I have compared these with the other dealership).
I am sorry that you have taken a dislike to my post - no offense or lack of appreciation for your efforts is meant and I will be posting the details of the alternative parts offer shortly.
Cheers,
Mike

Ouch! I didnt see this coming :) In the spirit of this great wee community, I'd echo Skips comments about passion for the A2 and owners alike and getting the best for the team. Litmus test here is clearly a market forces issue. Will Stoke Audi provide a service as competitive, or better than the proposed partner as per Bens unanswered email?
I have bought goods from Stoke and was very happy with communication, price and service. However, there is no chance I would have paid a tenner to have access to discounts that I would expect a well visited forum to enjoy for free. This site is visited by upwards of 100 members daily, and has a membership of thousands. Its simple math - and easy markerting for a smart supplier.

we are going to keep on providing the service we have done in the past
and progress to make it better.
the link wasnt meant to be compulsory for a2oc members to enable them to get discounton purchases.
i was hoping that it would be of interest to non members.
but the link has now been removed.
we will still offer a2oc members competitive discounts on parts and look forward to a long and benificial relationship with the members.
if there are any items we have listed in the shop, please feel free to contact ourselves in reference to your purchase.

In a PM, Dave asked me to delete this entire thread, however, I think on reflection it should stay.
I will in the interests of impartiality post a direct link to the Stoke Audi Parts store.
There is seemingly no need to buy into a discount card to get discounted prices, as as Dave says, if you don't see it in the shop, then just drop them a line.
Cheers.

No worries Dave and there are absolutely no hard feelings - honestly!
As I said to you in private, I trust that members will shop with you, even if some of your prices are not necessarily as competitive as the other dealership in question.
As you rightly say, service counts for a lot and on the face of it, your dedication outside of work hours bodes well for anyone who does place an order!
Cheers,
Mike
