For the South African market (that prefers sedans to hatchbacks - same as Ireland) VW is producing this car. Looks good to me...

FABIA FABIA!!!
Not bad though. I always liked the look of the Cordoba over the Ibiza, and the Bora over the Golf.

This is in fact a stand alone design and not a rebadged Fabia or Cordoba... It is from VW Brazil's design studio... and yes there has always been a booted Polo but this particular one is not coming to Europe...

Now, I like that.
Any sign of a 3 dr A2, A2 cabrio?
Did find out that the Bora is available as 2dr coupe (aka 3 series) and estate versions in Germany.
When will they learn the UK is happy to look at these options but a 4 dr 3 box design is never popular here - why?

Foxy: the Bora Coupe was only a design study and was never signed off as a production car.
Making the Estate version as both a Golf and a Bora was seen as a mistake by VW... but then Golf has better image in UK and Bora a better image in Ireland and the Continent... so on some level it did make sense. THe only difference is a different front module to slot into the car at the factory and Fabia-esque airvents to the Bora interior that the Golf does not have...
