Audi TT Front Seats in A2

Hi everyone, new to site and have owned my 1.4TDI since October last year. A2OC is great and the information on here is superb! Hats off to all you dedicated owners and enthusiasts!!!!Hope someone out there can help as I would like to replace my standard front seats for ones with better support. Looking at some of the threads I can see that people state that TT seats will fit with some modifactions. Has anyone actually done this and if so, whats required? i.e runner modifications? seat belt replacement? air bag connector compatability etc... I would like to fit A2 sport seats as this would be a straight swop but I now realise it maybe easier to find a needle in a haystack (TT seats are plentiful on ebay and pistonheads). Any info would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Keith.

Unless someone beats me to it ill post a link to a post with photos of them being fit

Hi Keith
I checked through some of the old seat threads (see attached) and it looks like nothing but A2 seats will be a direct fit but maybe Hooley can find something I've missed

Now for the plug - I have a pair of A2 seat runners for sale which could probably be modified to take TT or similar seats. PM me if you are interested.

Cheers Spike

Hi Phil,

Many thanks for posting the photo's, nice seats and look easy enough to fit (hope I do not have to eat my words). Were the air bag connectors compatible or did you have to modify?

Regards,

Keith.

They do look fantastic, but personally I couldn't stand to leave the back seats in cloth, so would have to get them redone to match.

tt seats in a2

Just wanted to know if the airbags are interchangeable or require modification?

Thanks

Max

I think you just keep the TT side airbags and they plug directly into the A2 wiring loom connector under the seat.

Unfortunately the pictures on the German forum seem to be down. Are there more pictures of the TT seats in an A2, especially the metal adapters that were custom made?

Thanks will look into that as I'm dying to get them fitted.. At the moment they are I'm my xr3i.. Not fitted just dumped in
