Audi dealership replaced my 3w sidelights for 5w

I had one of the sidelights fail and had it replaced by my local Audi dealership. Funny enough they replaced it with a W5W which from what I've read here in the forum is a big no-no.

Anyway when I called Audi and explained that the A2 should only be fitted with 3 watt sidelights they acted surprised and asked me "who told you that?"

I managed to avoid answering the question but since I'm taking the car there this Monday I would like to know if there's an official source that I can point them to. Does the A2 manual state W3W sidelights only?

the melting plastic snails tell you that. Strangely enough, osram's page says 5W.

3 is correct. It's a five minute job to do yourself (take the headlight out, 2 x tx30, pull the snail out, replace the bulb, refit), so I wouldn't bother taking it to a dealer for this.

Cheers. For how long have you had them? Most seem to last only a couple of months.
