Starts on the button , but no power for 5 mins (dirty throttle body?)

I've read a few threads ref this and it appears that a choked up throttle body.

I've bought a new gasket, but can carb cleaner be strayed into the throttle body from the top without removing it?

HI,

If you do that you are then letting all of that gunk get straight into your engine and so it is not recommended, not to mention that the liquid from the cleaner could cause a "hydraulic lock" by putting more fluid than can be compressed.

So in short, no.
