Passenger Air Bag Light

Hi
I have an A2 1.4i TDi which has a passenger air bag notification light above the drivers mirror which has been staying on even when the air bag is switched off. This only really started recently and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? If so how did you rectify it or what could it be?
 
Could be the switch is bust or an issue with the Airbag module itself. I would suggest getting it plugged into a diagnostics to see further detail. You can buy new switches and you need to smash old one to recover the key slot. I would of course confirm it is this first though! Good luck
 
Does the warning light not stay on to confirm that the passenger airbag is disabled?
Try switching it back on to see if the light goes off.

Hi
I have turned the passenger airbag to on and it still registers on the light box as 'Off'. I then switch it off and it says 'Off'. This is a relatively new development too. I noticed it about a month ago, just after having a new anti-roll bar fitted by Tony from A2Cars. I'll see what I can find out.

I wonder if you have solved the problem with the air bag light staying on?
