Head lamp washer system faulty

Good morning
I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction for fixing yet another issue on my recently purchased A2
The car is fitted with head lamp washers that do not work, I've prised up the flaps on both sides and albeit stiff to raise they do come up, problem is they do not raise up and spray water when the washer stalk is pulled.
For testing the washer bottle is full, the engine was running and the lights were on..... But nothing the screen washers work.
Also this maybe a clue the wiper does not work in intermittent position and will stop mid screen when lever is released
Any suggestions gratefully received

I have the same problem with my headlamp washers. Haven't really put any effort into it yet.

As for the wiper. I haven't taken the wiper on my A2 apart, but I think they all pretty much work the same way. Inside the wiper motor/gearbox assembly is a mechanical curcuit. These can become dirty and not have proper contact. I would take it apart and clean it as first step.

Here is a photo so you can see what I'm talking about. This is NOT from an A2.
