Audi independant in East Sussex.

Hi all, I have a few issues with my A2 Tdi, including a power steering fault which causes me to lose my steering, leaking boot bumper seals, juddering brakes etc.! I don't have a lot of confidence in local garages, who are unlikely to be familiar with the A2. Has anyone used or found an independent Audi guy within, say, thirty miles of Hastings who could be trusted to do a good job? There's one in Pevensey Bay-anyone used them?
Cheers!

Take it to VW Caffyns, Eastbourne. Lower labour costs than Audi. They fitted a new gearbox to my 1.2Tdi recently so your power steering problem will be child's play to them. I buy all my Audi parts from them!

Im in Kent, and took a trip up to A2Cars in Milton Keynes for piece of mind. Given that the A2 is rather unusual, I wanted someone familiar with them to give it the once over and service it properly. I can't recommend them enough, it's well worth the trip. It's about 2.5hrs for you, but make a day out of it, and your A2 will appreciate the nice long run too.

If you're talking about the Garage by the railway level crossing on the road down to the Bay, give them a wide body swerve. They treated me shoddily earlier this year and it costed me dearly. I wouldn't have gone there unless it had been for a piece of kit my usual garage did not have, never again.

My usual garage in Eastbourne are not Audi specialists, but I have used them for almost thirty years and they have looked after both my A2 and RS4 for four years now. £60 /hr. Bourne Motors, Cornfield Lane in the town centre. 01323 727011.

Thanks for the replies, guys-just the sort of info I needed. I'd like to go up to A2Cars, but the time and distance involved makes it difficult, and if it's not ready the same day, that creates a whole other issue! Wonder if A2Cars has a courtesy car? Perhaps I should ring and have a chat!
Cheers!

They do have courtesy cars so definitely worth giving them a ring.

I'll be using a2 cars for mechanical work when I can! But whilst we're asking about East Sussex can anyone recommend a good tyre place in Eastbourne? I have a nail in my tyre and I'm worried about them damaging my wheel taking the tyre off to repair it!

I've never had a bad experience with any tyre fitter in the Eastbourne area damaging a wheel, the kit they use, if set correctly just doesn't touch the rim as it turns.
I use Autowise in Polegate High St, or Treads tyres, Diplocks Way near Wickes in Hailsham.

Thanks, I just worry because my wheels have been refurbished, I worry that when they put the tyre lever in and lever off the wheel it will crack the paint! Refurbished paint can chip much easier than origional! :(

I have had tyres changed on many new and refurbished wheels. Not had any damage yet! (fingers crossed)

The guys spot the condition of the wheel and treat it with respect.

Take a picture of each wheel just before you go, so you can prove their condition just in case, but you will be fine!

I'll have to wash and wax the car before I go so they can see the wheel is immaculate! Also I forgot to ask!! I've driven to work twice in the month and a bit I have worked there and the second time I got a car park dent!!!!!! can anyone reckomend a really good dent fix company in Eastbourne? When I worked in London I used "dent fix" ( we used them at my old work) and he was brilliant. I'm so gutted about his dent!! I left plenty of room next to me when I parked!!!!

Sorry for high jacking the thread a bit!
