Home Made Terminal Release Tool

I've been working on an Audi wiring harness (not the A2) and needed to remove some terminals from a connector block. I came across this Youtube guide and coincidentally happened to have some old wiper blades in stock which provided the spring steel strips needed for the blades. They work quite well but if you plan to do lots of wiring work, Laser sell an individual 'Audi' tool plus various sets to cater for all terminal sizes

Just be aware that all connector blocks have some form of mechanical lock, usually a plastic clip, which needs to be released before any terminals can be extracted

Cheers Spike

PS. there is also a terminal release tool user guide from the same guy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rlXZUvhEsQ

Seems ive alot of wiring to go through on my project A2 and need something reliable to remove the pins from the terminal blocks, i came across your post and thought id ask if anyone has any of the laser pin removal tools as could do with a bit of feedback before i go buying something thats a waste of money.

i came across this laser kit which looks to have the main one i need for the ECU wiring

If anybody uses these and could rate them or recommend a decent removal tool that would be appreciated

thanks in advance
