This is a serious question to all you people who had an 1.6FSI much longer than me.
Since it's impossible to check the oil level with the 'always-full-magic-stick-pin', it would be good yo know what oil consumption really is.
Last week I drove down to Denmark, about 700 km journey, I noticed that the high pressure fuel pump revs harder and more noisy thn usual at warm start, after 2-300 km driven. It's about 7000 km since last oil and filter service change, so I thought some oil has been burned.
The 'always-full-magic-stick-pin' showed at least that the oil was nicely yellow
I took a chance and refilled 0.25 liter, just to see if it would make any difference.
And it did.
Than I took a 1000 km trip to Oslo and back home. At the warm start, the high pressure pump worked less harder and less noisy, just like it should.
Before I conclude anything from my experiment, I would like to know more about the real oil consumption and not guessing how much to refill.
Appreciate your expert advices!
