Hi all Audi driver international show is as always at Castle Combe circuit, nr Chippenham, Wilts. further details see below.

The show is the Saturday - Friday night we book a table in the beefeater next to the hotel for those that have decided to stay over before the show or are local and want to join us---please add your name here---http://www.a2oc.net/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=99&day=2016-10-14 also post on here how many places please.


The show follows the very simple typical car show format. With the different car clubs having pitches. These pitches are located close to the track at castle Combe in the paddock area. There are a few trade stands there to tempt the pound out your pockets. BUT THE BIG DRAW IS being Able to view the action on the track. Audi uk usually have one or two of their test pilots offering white knuckle rides around the circuit in the high performance versions of the cars. Some of the fastest modified audis also go out and are a sight to be seen and heard.
Track time is offered at £TBC per session - you need to have a helmet. If any members are interested pm me and I'll see if we can get a group session (12 a2's needed)
In the afternoon they usually offer a kids session where you can take the kids (yours or borrowed) around the circuit. At the end if the day there is usually a parade lap (in fact usually 3) where all the clubs form a line and drive the track -at a steady pace. No helmet required.

This year there will not be a £2 pitch pass cost- previous years this nominal charge paid for the subscription that one lucky person won in a draw on the day. There WILL still be a subscription to one lucky person drawn on the day. So please add your name to the calendar link.

As per previous years we stay the night of the show at a hotel this year a few of us are staying at the premier inn hotel on the great western way opposite the Hilton of previous years.

I've booked my room at the hotel for the Friday night. I'll probably head home after the event on the Saturday rather rthan stay another night as I'm nipping to see my friend in Cannes in September and I need to pay for Mabel's Nox sensor!

Thanks for organising. I'll warn you all in advance, that if there are cars going fast around the track, I'm like a kid in a sweet shop!
 
Hi all... Hopefully should make the meal on the Friday.. Will defo be at the show.. Not sure yet if working the Friday night but goin to book up just in case.. Where are you staying for this one
 
Zippy we are staying in the premier inn -great western way. Details in the last part of the opening post. It's a nice clean hotel and the breakfast is cooked to order. The beefeater is right next door for the Friday meal and a short walk away is a costa coffee house. I recommend booking as soon as poss as they will get booked up due to the show. Cheers Mike
 
Cheers bud.. Yeah noticed in thread.. Was half 5 this morning.. Same place we stayed last year.. Was really nice there.. Will book ASAP.. Wont accept my card at mo cos expires end of the month
 
I have booked both nights at the premier inn :)

I also put my name down for both evening meals, but the friday night is only tentative since I'll probably be arriving around 9 due to work.

I'm skipping the Duxford meet-up, so looking forward to meeting up with everyone in October* :)

Today i received the passes for the stand at the show ---still room for more so please why not join us for the show. Don't use the "my car isn't a show car" or "my car is not good enough"----if its and Audi A2 then your welcome. Don't forget the meal after the show-full details can be found on page 1 of this thread. Cheers mike and yvonne

Hi we are hoping to get to castle combe, our first event. Aiming to arrive Saturday morning do we just pay at the gate and find the A2 parking area? Do we need book?
