in that case you will like the remap, there is buckets for torque low down and there is certainly a fuel saving to be had

What is the difference between a mpps cable and a obd2 cable, I have a obd2 and it looks the same? I'd like to upgrade my ecu. Is it worth me buying the self install guide, I also only have a pc running windows 10. I know I'm making things difficult. lol.
Any help would be appreciated Depronman.

The MPPS cable is needed to read and write the ECU firmware, the normal ODB2 cable will not do this, neither will VAGCOM.

Unfortunately I have not been bale to get the MPPS software and cable to run on any 64bit version of windows, so in reality it means that windows 7 32bit is the latest version that can be used with the MPPS software/cable. As the laptop does not need to be anything special an old model or even a netbook running windows 7 or earlier will do the job nicely, maybe you could borrow a suitable laptop to do the read and write of the ECU ?
The ECU update is very doable if you have a windows laptop running a 32bit version of windows, the MPPS cable is only 10 from ebay
Once you have the cable and have read the ECU firmware you are 90% of the way there, mail me the read file from the ECU and I will check it and mail you back the remap file

    Cheers,

Hi just a wee update on my A2 running Depronmans map. After several months and three thousand miles she's still running great. I had some limp home mode issues but that was down to a faulty temp sensor and overboost. If you run it hard over 3000 rpm when cold it will go into limp mode but I believe that is normal.
I am very happy with the way the map performs. Paul has done a fantastic job.

Thank you so much for the feedback - it is appreciated, and great to here that you are enjoying the remap and it is performing like my own A2
Interesting that you feel the need to rev it over 3000 rpm when hot or cold, I seldom feel the need, overtaking is about the only reason, and even then only if I don't have the time/space to change gear part way through the overtake, but it is nice that it will pull strongly past 3800rpm
    Cheers,

    Loaded Depronmans Map yesterday evening.
Process was quite easy, works fine even with windows 10 64bit just follow these instructions

Only had a chance to go for a quick spin and the car pulls noticeably quicker! Will go for a proper drive tomorrow.

Thank you Depronman for a quick supply of the map. very reasonable, best bang per buck!
