Thread: AMF 75BHP Remap

  1. #81
    Hi Paul,

No sure how much more the idle has crept up, really couldn't say what the old map was set to, but honestly its not a problem as you suggest that it may be helping the brake pressure which i always had to press twice to get that reassuring feel rather than a soft pedal. Its only done the black smoke once just after the remap was done, and now having driven it around the Edinburgh bypass it seems to be better on the fuel, again the wife tends to pootle around the local area so thats' maybe where i'm seeing the slightly lower mpg. All in i'm very happy with it and the best 20 + 10 for the cable i've ever spent on the little A2 !

    Cheers
    Stuart

OK so it would appear that one other person as reported smoke just after the remap, but reassuringly only the once. I will keep this in mind to let future users of the remap know that they may get some smoke after the remap until the engine as cleared itself.

Its great to here that you are all enjoying (as I have for 12 months now) the extra ooph that the remap provides and improvements to fuel consumption

    Your feedback is much appreciated

    Cheers,

I have just tried to download the drivers as my supplied miniCD is U.S.
The links appear to be broken. Is there an alternative address?

    This will be good.
Due to today's work requirements I didn't get to road test the new map.
Tonight my wife asked to take it down the coast to an evening meeting with friends.

Her first drive in an A2. Let's see what she comments on.......

    Clutch, CV, Shocks, etc.
