Air box TDI.

It is not totally clear from the pictures if the air box is the same on the Petrol 1.4 and the TDI's
The air filter element is certainly a different part number, hence my thoughts that the air box itself is also different

If you can get the 1.4 petrol air box for little money then it is worth a punt, it can always go on here / ebay if it doesn't fit

There's a spare TDI air filter housing here in Lancaster, if you're in need. I'll happily match the price, though I'd much rather it was collected. I'm only a few junctions up the M6.

thanks Tom, we did a compare and contrast between the broken original and the one from the 1.4 petrol, they are indeed the same, the part numbers are the same.
I still find it strange that the petrol and diesels use a different air filter, but yet the box is the same

Thanks for the offer Timmus................they do indeed look identical and the like Paul says, the numbers match.
Now the question is......is the connecting pipe work the same?
