1.6 FSI Sport Cruise Control Retro-Fit

I've been doing quite a bit of digging and I keep finding conflicting posts...

My A2 is a 2003 - From what I've read, the 1.6FSI Late 2002 > already has the wiring harness in place for cruise control.

Is this fact? If not, how would i go about checking?

I've carried out this retrofit on a Seat Leon Cupra which needed the new harness and I do remember it being quite a bit of work!!

Any help appreciated,

Nick

None of the A2s are pre wired but as they are all DBW it can be fitted. Hopefully Tom (timmus) will be along soon with much more information.

On my 1.4TDi, the cruise stalk replaced the standard one. This then had a connector and small loom which had to be threaded through the centre console to the relevant pins on the ECU which is pretty straight forward if you have the circuit diagrams (pin numbers etc). Then it takes a 12v off the brake pedal switch (nearest switched 12v feed to the stalk I believe)... Or given the rest of the wires are going to the passenger footwell you could find a switched 12v in there. Then the ECU needs to be programmed to activate cruise, VAGCOM etc. and as I recall a reset is required et voila.
