    A2s for sale

Due to my departure I have the foillowing A2s for sale

I would prefer to sel, them to members but they will be put on eBay shortly if there is no interest on here.

The 2004 TDI 90 is now sold

A 2001 TDI SE (pearl metallic Azure I believe) with 282,000 miles on the clock but a totally usable and nice looking A2.
Also has DIS, BOSE, 6CD changer, factory SAT Nav (believed not working) 17" TT Ronal alloys and decent tyres. MOT'd until June
    895

Another 2001 TDI SE, also with DIS , 6 CD changer in boot, Spacesaver spare wheel, auto dimming rear view (being replaced due to the crystal failing)
This is a really nice A2 and it has been very well maintained. It has had the same lady owner for the last 12 years. Cheap at 1,295

A 2003 TDI SE in Azure blue, with around 110,000 on the clock. Has DIS and MFSW (this is our Daughter's car) available first week in April, 1,895

A 2002 FSI in Crystal blue with heated blue leather, only 89.000 miles on the clock, new discs and pads all round. Will not be available until mid April, price to be determined,

If you are interested in any of the above cars please do not reply to this post since I will only be able to receive PMs.

    Thanks
    Steve B

The 2001 TDI SE with 282K is still for sale

The other 2001 TDI SE (Well maintained) is sold awaiting collection
The 2003 TDI SE has a couple of people interested already when it becomes available hopefully at the weekend
The FSI will not be ready for a couple of weeks or so Just having a head overhaul when I can get it in the garage (sticky valves)

I MIGHT have a very low mileage 2001 TDI in Dolphin Grey with only 60k and in fantastic condition (someone interested but they are not "into cars" and so they might not realise how special this one is) if they don't have it I will be selling it for 2,500)

The only other car I have is a mega specced 2001 TDI, but I like this one so much I am probably keeping it!!!

I am winding this venture down slowly but the latest two were cars that I had already committed to buying before I made that decision.

Mickey and his wife collected the 2001 SE today.

Lovely people and I could tell that they seemed to like the A2 quite early on.

They plan on keeping this one for many years and that should be easy enough to achieve.

Our Daughter's 2003 TDI SE should be available some time next week (her replacement A2 is being FULLY sorted as we speak and not being rushed) there is a number of people interested, I will be offering it in the sequence that interest was received.

The 2001 SE with a great spec but 282K mileage is a bargain at 895 (now on eBay without reserve) but no interest yet.

The FSI is being delayed while our daughter's replacement is being prepared, but should be available soon (similar "queuing" sequence)

The Super Spec 2001 SE is an interesting one, needs a small amount of work to make it a great car again and I am planning on keeping it, but since I have a car already and my wife has her A2 and we have no parking it is not that sensible. Also I am supposed to be reducing my A2 involvement not increasing it!!!

The Dolphin grey 60K 2001 TDI has a string of people interested, just waiting for my friend to return from the US (he has first refusal)

The only other car on the horizon is another high mileage but totally usable one, 230K on the clock, some lacquer peal (Guess what colour - Yes RED)
Has had heated leather retrofitted, drives really well. No decision made on price yet. It is just that his mother is getting a larger car and so he will be having her really nice Dolphin grey TDI (with alcantara and OSS / DIS etc.).

Never a dull moment and not as easy as I thought to drift away from the "A2 scene".

    Hi

i have decided not to keep the latest addition to the list of A2s.
    The super specced 2001.
I was letting my heart rule my head again, I really don't have the space and even small jobs are a problem for me.
so all of the A2s I have will be sold. I can get my "Fix" by driving my Wife's nicely specced 90.

there have been a couple of people asking about it so far, so to be fair I will let them have first refusal.
I will be taking a 200 loss on it but even then it will not be a cheap one, but it will be excellent value for money.

It will have cost me 2,600 in total and I reckon that 2,395 is a very fair price considering the spec.

It has a twist leather SE interior
    5 Seater, heated front
    Double DIN
    Hard-touch buttons, so no wear
    Auto dimming mirror
SIDEGUARD!!!(curtain air bags - mega rare)
Front passenger airbag disable switch and isofix front seat (also megs rare)
    Headlight washers
    Parking sensors
    Heated washer jets and mirrors
    OSS
    Spacesaver
    DIS
    Rear Speakers
    4 electric windows
    Boot mounted Power Socket
    False floor
    Rear parcel blind
    Three spoke sport steering wheel.
    Cruise control
SE 16" alloys and very good tyres
All of the above were factory fitted when new (I checked against the VIN)

There is not much else that is missing,
I believe that Tom has a matching MFSW available if you were to want that (I checked because I wanted to keep the car and have Tom install this).
It doesn't have BOSE fitted BUT it comes with a full BOSE kit (including Twist BOSE speaker grills)
It just needs installing (again, Tom might be able to install this for you)
Other than that it is only things like Factory Sat Nav and phone prep, if you were to go for the full set!!

The car is a well sorted 2001 TDI SE Cobalt Blue with around 150k on the clock and reasonable service history.
it needs a few things but basically just a bit of a spruce up.

The list of things that would need to be done to make it perfect are as follows (but I tend to be a bit OCD about things like this)

The clutch is slightly heavy but operates ok and feel like it has many thousands of miles left in it yet.
The paintwork needs a good polish (I have a dent specialist coming on Tuesday to deal with the "shopping trolley dings" and so there should be no dings anywhere) he is confident that it will come out looking great. I asked him to be thorough and so his bill is around 200 (but only because I have asled for every ding to be done, there are no real dents!
One rear door fails to lock (I haven't investigated the cause yet - VCDS shows as rear door won't De-Safe and so it is probably just a micro-switch perhaps?)
The DIS matrix needs replacing (120 all inclusive from Cartronix near Portsmouth (they do a postal service too))
    The headlamp washers need checking
The leather would benefit from connolising and a driver's bolster repair to make it stunning)
The OSS opens and closes without juddering but has a delay of a second or two before it operates.
The alloys are hardly marked but are not perfect.
It has the infamous starter motor noise.
It has a loose mirror head but I have a replacement that will go with the car.

The list serms long but with that list done it would be a very special A2.

I really would keep it but all of my time is being spent on the other cars at the moment and do I don't have the time or the space to keep this one for me, I guess I was not thinking straight when I thought I would keep it.

If you are are interested I can add you to the list of people that have asked about the car, but I am not sure that anyone has specifically said they want it. (But up until a few minutes ago I was going to keep it!

The car only had one key and I had a more reliable "AF" CCCU spare, so I installed this and now the car has two keys, one of which is the new shape key fob.
