ARB and Bushes - Confused..

Hi All....HELP!!!

Following the last visit to a specialist to have the cambelt done, I was told that my ARB bushes were kaput.
When visiting TradeParts, I was told that there were 2 sizes... buy both and return the wrong ones.
Sooo, today I did the job. I did the OS and found the ARB very loose in the bush, so fitted the smaller of the sizes to the bar, assuming the bush was very worn.
Only when doing the NS, I noticed a plastic sleeve between the bush and ARB which required the larger size, the sleeve however was broken in 2, so fitted the smaller bush.
Looking back at the OS, I noticed the collar was way out of position.

So, I currently have the smaller bushes mounted directly to the ARB (no sleeves). They are a snug fit and look like they should be OK.
From what I gather, my A2 slipped the net regarding the recall to replace the ARB with the metal collar version.

My question is.....what now?
Do I just leave it with the smaller bushes and no collars, and just keep an eye on it?
Do I replace the ARB with the new version and fit the bigger bushes?
How much of a ball-ache is it to remove the ARB and slip in a new one?

Thanks

Id suggest leaving as it is as the replacement bushes dont use the collars , unless you like to drive hard and find the front body roll a tad to much as the thicker roll bar just stiffens up the front suspention and reduces body roll slightly, I may be corrected but im sure you need to drop the steel cross member that holds the bottom suspention control arms and stearing rack to be able to remove the anti roll bar, due to its shape and location it cant be removed on its own as such.

Hi - correct - you need to drop the subframe to fit the later type anti roll bar ( as far as I,m aware there was no recall to fit the later type bar). If I remember correctly the late bar is slightly smaller diameter but without the plastic collars so once fitted should be fit and forget.

Cheers Dave
