The Crystal Blue FSI Sport is nearing completion !! Reduced to 1,895

    Hi,

It is just needing an MOT and it will be ready.

It has just come out of the workshop. It has been a long while but they were working on it as and when they got a gap (and they are so busy because they are great mechanics (Audi being their main skills)

    The list includes

Check and report on misfire. Found constant misfire on cylinder 2 and intermittent misfire on cylinder 1. Swapped injectors across cylinders but misfire still present. Spark plugs and coils had already been checked and changed.
Removed cylinder head and replaced valves and guides on cylinders 1 and 2 and skimmed and crack tested head.
Refitted cylinder head and supplied and fitted new timing belt kit and water pump.
Carried out oil and filter change. Engine now running satisfactory.
Fitted NOX sensor supplied by customer and re-wired.
Check and report on washer bottle leaking. Found filler neck split. Fitted second hand washer bottle supplied by customer.
Carry out minor service to manufacturers specification.
Supply and fit 2 new rear springs and cups.
Supplied and fitted new passenger side number plate bulb and cleaned terminals.

The bill for this was 1,100, which is actually quite low for all of that work 500 of that was parts.

On top of this work I have done the following

New discs and pads front and rear

Fully stripped and refurbished 17" Sport alloys with good tyres all round
Blue leather heated SE seats fitted (to match the blue trims on the door cards)
    Heated seat switches and loom
    Worn buttons replaced
Replacement window switches (front) provided but not yet fitted (current ones are worn)
Headlamp switch and surround replaced (old unit had some wear)
    New mats with blue edgings.

So quite a lot of work done and this is now a well sorted and sweetly running FSI Sport.

The rear windows and tailgate also have a slight tint.
It has a "parrot" style hands-free phone kit
    It has aftermarket parking sensors,
(But flush fitting and colour coded).

Currently on 89K miles and will have a fresh MOT.
It has a mixture of service stamps but the history is fully up to date and complete (Last service is not in the service book but there is a receipt to prove it was done 10,000 miles ago and now freshly serviced last week.

If you add everything up the total comes to around 2,000 and that does not include the purchase of the car in the first place!

So Great value REDUCED TO 1,895 NOW SOLD

Some people have expressed an interest in this car but that was several months ago now, so if they confirm their interest I will offer it to them first, but please do post a reply on here if you are also interested.

    Hi,

It sailed through the MOT with just one advisory (A very small nick in the CV boot, but the MOT guy said he was just being thorough and it really isn't anything to worry about)

    Cheers
