Information Buying pressed aluminium number plates?

If, like me, you like using double sided sticky tabs or strong Velcro to mount your number plates I recommend that you don't if you are using pressed aluminium plates.

Imagine this,

you have applied your stickies to your shiny new pressed plates and you have now stuck the plates on.
You step back to admire them and see that they are not quite straight.
With plastic plates you can pull them off and adjust them (especially if you used Velcro (my favourite option)
BUT if you try pulling off the pressed ones they are so thin that they will almost certainly bend, even if you used Velcro.

So please buy some A2OC plate mounts/surrounds. (Other brands are available , LOL)

Ok, I know that most of you would already realise this but it is a nightmare if you end up bending your shiny new plates.

Or do what I did on my last car and mark it out with a bit of tape to avoid screwing it up ;-)

I bent mine in half!
