Chimes/alarm

I'm getting a string of chimes or 'beeps' every time I turn the ignition on.
There is around nine chimes in very fast succession quite difficult to count them precisely. I can find anything in the owners book about this and I've no experience to guide me so I'm feeling a little stupid.
I've had a check at all the fluid levels etc. All seem fine.
No corresponding display warnings. No speed warnings set or anything else I can find.

What advise can the combined wisdom of the A2OC suggest?

Forgive the pun, this rings a bell.
I read somewhere in here that this type of warning could be linked to the battery in the alarm sounder going. I may be miles off.

You don't have parking sensors do you?

These can cause beeps to warn of issues.

Battery in the alarm sounder....... that deserves a little further research.

No parking sensors fitted

It's occurring during a normal drive as well, may actually have been like this for a few days as another driver used this car.

It appears random and it's certainly annoying mid corner.
(I'm sure the sensor or whatever that is providing the trigger doesn't feel 'random'.)

Could it be another sign of a defective cccu?
