Windscreen washer drain hose incomplete?

Hi All,

Just spent most of the morning fiddling with the windscreen motor position as the rubber seal around it had come off. Finally found that it was being pushed too far forward because a cable got trapped behind the mount.
After I finally got everything back together I noticed the water drained from the windscreen into part of a hose and then just ran into the engine bay where it eventually found it's way out of the undertray as there is a hole with slots around it. This makes me think there is supposed to be a connecting hose with a mount so the water runs straight through and out the car by the undertray.

Is there suppose to be a long hose with a mount attachment for the undertray so the water runs off the windscreen through the drain, hose and out?

If there is where can I get one cheaply please?

No, your not missing anything the hose just drops onto the undertray.

The hose is there so not related to the above pictures but it just seems so short. I think I'll make and extension so at least it's not splashing on half of the engine bay first before it runs out of the hole in the undertray.

This is weird. I'm sure I've asked the above questions before.
